Projects are easier to set up, manage and customize in this update.
The new improvements are designed to help your team save time, keep project structures consistent and organize work in a way that fits your process.
The Customize panel, opened from the All Projects list, is where you manage the shared resources every project in your workspace can draw from. Rather than rebuilding structure and vocabulary from scratch on each new engagement, you define it once here Project Templates, Task Templates, Categories, and Tags and every project after that starts from a consistent foundation.
Opening the Customize Panel #
From the Projects section in the left sidebar, click Customize at the top of the All Projects list. A panel opens with four rows, each ending in a right-facing arrow that opens its own sub-panel.
Project Templates
Project templates help you start repeatable work without rebuilding the same structure every time. Pick the right template and begin with everything already organized. This helps your team move faster while following the same process every time. You can create templates with predefined tasks, workflows, custom fields and project structures. Once a template is ready, your team can use it whenever they start a similar project.
Task Templates
Where Project Templates set up an entire project, Task Templates handle individual task-and-subtask sets. Give a template a name, add a primary task with subtasks, drag them into the order they should be completed, and save. From then on, import that template into any project’s Kanban or List view via the three-dot menu’s Import Tasks from Templates option.
Categories
Categories are the master list your workspace uses to classify tasks. the stages or groupings that reflect how your agency actually tracks progress. Defining them here, at the workspace level.
Tags
Tags work the same way as Categories, but are meant for flexible, cross-cutting labeling rather than fixed stages. Create your customized tags or use the default ones.
NOTE
Individual projects can still apply their own Custom Labels for one-off, project-specific shorthand.
